TEAM AWARDS- The Rangers announced their team award winners for the 2021-22 season today. Igor Shesterkin was named the Rangers' Most Valuable Player, Barclay Goodrow and Jacob Trouba were named co-recipients of the Players' Player Award, and Ryan Strome was named the winner of the John Halligan Good Guy Award.

  • Igor Shesterkin finished the season with a 36-13-4 record, .935 save percentage and a 2.07 goals against average. Among goaltenders with a minimum of 30 appearances, Shesterkin posted the highest single season save percentage in franchise history. Shesterkin's save percentage is the third highest single season percentage in NHL history, behind Tim Thomas (2010-11) and Dominik Hasek (1998-99).
    - Chris Kreider finished the season with 52 goals, tied for the second most single-season goals in franchise history. Kreider set franchise records in power play goals (26) and game-winning goals during his historic season. He beame the only player in NHL history to record 50+ goals, 25+ power play goals, three+ shorthanded goals and 10+ game winning goals in a season.
    - Artemi Panarin completed his season with a team-high in assists (74) and points (96). Panarin's 74 assists were the most in a single season for a New York forward and third-most in franchise history. Panarin's 1.28 point per game average is tied for the fifth most in a single season in franchise history.
    - Adam Foxnotched an assist tonight, ending his season with 63 assists and 74 points, his assists ranking fifth in a single season by a Rangers defenseman and his point total ranking ninth by a New York defenseman in a single season.
    - Alexis Lafrenière scored the tying goal in the second period, his 19th of the season. Lafrenière has points in four of his last five games (2G-2A). The second-year player ranked second among Rangers this season in even-strength goals (19) and home goals (14).
    - Ryan Strome tallied his 33rd assist of the season, giving him points in four of his last six games (4G-2A). Strome completed the season with a career-high 21 goals, and 54 points, the second most in his career.
    - Dryden Hunt scored his sixth goal of the season and first since April 7 against Pittsburgh. Hunt's goal was also his 40th career point (12G-28A). Hunt's goal stood up as his second game-winning goal of the season/career.
    - Filip Chytilopened the scoring for the Rangers with his eighth goal of the year, notching his 22nd point of the season. Chytil has points in three of his last seven games (1G-2A).
    - Kaapo Kakkocollected his 10th and 11th assists of the season in his final game of the regular season, giving him four points (2G-2A) in his last four games. Kakko finished with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 43 games.
    - Braden Schneiderrecorded his second career multi-point/assist game with two helpers. Schneider finished his rookie season with two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 43 games.
