The Great One reunited with The Wizard and it was nothing but laughs and smiles.

Ozzie Smith, known as "The Wizard" for his amazing defensive play during a Hall of Fame baseball career with the St. Louis Cardinals, was on hand ahead of the lead up to the
2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic
on New Year's Day.

Wayne Gretzky, who said he's known Smith for about 25 years, will play in the
2017 NHL Winter Classic Alumni Game
on New Year's Eve. He will lace them up for the Blues Alumni which will face off with the Blackhawks Alumni.
"Ozzie, did you bring your skates?" Gretzky asks the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame shortstop at the start of a video tweeted by the Blues Friday.
Smith, decked out in a Cardinals and Blues-themed hockey sweater with his name and traditional No. 1 on the back just shouted "The Great One! There's only one!" upon Gretzky's arrival.
After a hug, Gretzky said he was "going to try to skate."
"You are going to try?" a shocked Smith asked.
"I don't skate anymore. Do you play shortstop anymore?" Gretzky asked, jokingly.
"No, I don't," Smith said. "But I could probably still do it!"
The pair discussed family and golf games before Smith went around and chatted up some people, inlcuding Blues assistant GM and former goalie Martin Brodeur, who will also play in the alumni game.
Smith's likeness will be featured on game day too, as Carter Hutton's
goalie mask depicts Smith
, in the middle of his famous Opening Day backflip, on the back.
The game will be played
at Busch Stadium
, home of the Cardinals.
