Capitals defenseman faces discipline from NHL for charging against Kevin Gravel of Kings

Washington Capitals defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday for charging against Los Angeles Kings defenseman Kevin Gravel.

The incident occurred at 15:57 of the third period of the game at Staples Center on Saturday. Shattenkirk received a two-minute minor penalty for charging.
The Kings defeated the Capitals 4-2.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: charging. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
