Hart, Lindblom lift Flyers to win over Golden Knights

Carter Hart made an NHL career-high 47 saves for the Philadelphia Flyers in a 2-1 win against the Vegas Golden Knights at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

"He was a competitor, he was a battler," Philadelphia coach Mike Yeo said. "That's a shot-volume team. They throw a lot of pucks at the net. It creates a lot of scrambles when they do that. Well-deserved win for him tonight, no question."
Justin Braun and Oskar Lindblom scored, and Scott Laughton had two assists for the Flyers (18-28-10), who had lost eight of 10 (2-6-2).
"It was unbelievable," Braun said. "Any time you give up that many shots (48) and Grade-As and come out with a W, that's probably on your goalie having a great night."

The Flyers killed a penalty for the final 1:45 of the third period after defenseman Ivan Provorov was called for delay of game. Hart made six saves, four on Jack Eichel, to preserve the win.
"Even on that 6-on-4 penalty kill, just getting sticks in lanes and sticks on pucks, that's huge," Hart said. "It disrupts their play. We know they got a lot of skill, so we know we've got to do everything we can to disrupt them."
Evgenii Dadonov scored, and Robin Lehner made 19 saves for the Golden Knights (32-22-4), who had won three of four.
"We've got to find a way to score more than one goal," Vegas coach Peter DeBoer said. "And no even-strength goals. I think that's the most important part. We pride ourselves on being a real good even-strength team, and we didn't get enough done there tonight."
Braun gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead at 4:44 of the first period on a wrist shot from just inside the blue line.
Lindblom's 10th goal of the season pushed the lead to 2-0 at 19:09. He took a pass from Laughton off the rush and scored on a wraparound off the left skate of Lehner.
"I think I only had one chance, and I got the puck in the net," Lindblom said. "You don't need a lot of chances to put the puck in. It helps you feel a little lighter out there."
Dadonov's power-play goal at 6:26 of the second period cut the lead to 2-1. He took a touch pass from Jonathan Marchessault and scored from the slot for his first goal in 18 games.
"He's been great for us," Marchessault said. "He's been a big part of our offense all year. It's like anyone who gets a goal early on in the game, you feel a little better."

DeBoer believes the goal will be a relief to Dadonov.
"'Daddy' needed to get one, for sure," DeBoer said. "He was carrying around a double-digit scoring drought for a long time, and he was wearing it. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come."
Philadelphia finished 3-4-1 on its eight-game homestand, the longest in its history.
"Not very good," Yeo said. "Obviously we're here to win games. We had some emotional talks a few days ago. I like the way that we finished off with a couple wins, but we have to keep building."
