Rielly Hands

If you're unsure of what proper handwashing looks like, Morgan Rielly is here to help.

The importance of washing your hands has been a focus during the coronavirus global pandemic, and the Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman took some time during the NHL season pause to show just how easy it is to follow the now widespread directive.

"Just checking in during a challenging time for everyone," Rielly said in the video posted to Twitter. "The [Maple] Leafs as an organization just have a couple reminders during this time. And it's just to take care of one another and keep your hands clean."
Rielly then wet his hands, applied soap and scrubbed the back and front of his hands and offered some things to think about while you scrub away for at least 20 seconds.
"Think Mitch Marner puck possession numbers, rather than Zach Hyman, for example," he said. "Or sing, 'Mr. Brightside,' whatever you gotta do. Just make sure you take your time with it and take it seriously."
Rielly also took the opportunity to thank healthcare workers for their efforts before drying off with a towel, and just like that, he was clean and doing his part to help stop the spread.
