Fans encouraged to channel popular defenseman's signature look at Delta Center

Oh, Schmidt!

The Utah Mammoth, the day before Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round series against the Vegas Golden Knights, hosted a lookalike contest for popular defenseman Nate Schmidt .

From 12 to 1 p.m. MT, Mammoth fans were encouraged to show up to the plaza in front of Delta Center with their Schmidt-iest looks.

Piece of advice for all the would-be Nate Schmidts out there: the look may be easy since it's just a bald head, goatee and big smile, but the vibes are what make Schmidt one of the most beloved players in the NHL.

Schmidt's always seemingly in the middle of something fans love and he always seems pretty comfortable still being Nate Schmidt.

The contest winner will receive two lower bowl tickets to a Mammoth Stanley Cup Playoff game.
