Cole Caufield Drake Baldwin jersey

Cole Caufield hit his arrival outfit out of the park on Saturday.

The Montreal Canadiens forward sported Atlanta Braves catcher Drake Baldwin’s jersey as he arrived at Bell Centre for a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Caufield and Baldwin grew up together and were U14 teammates for Team Wisconsin.

The back of the jersey featured Baldwin’s signature and “2025 NL ROY” written on it.

Baldwin received the National League Rookie of the Year honors after batting .274 with 19 home runs and 80 RBIs.

In a video posted by the Canadiens, Caufield credited Baldwin for inspiring him to take hockey more seriously.

“Watching a guy like that play not only baseball, but football too and also play competitive hockey and be linemates with me was pretty special,” Caufield said of Baldwin. “And just how he was able to balance everything and do it every weekend was pretty cool to see.”

Caufield is having his own monumental year. The Canadiens forward scored his 50th goal of the season on Thursday for the first time in his career.

He scored his 51st goal in the Canadiens 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.
