As part of NHL.com's 32 in 32 series, the fantasy hockey staff ranks the top five San Jose Sharks players for standard leagues and provides skater points and goalie wins projections for the 2026-27 season.

1. Macklin Celebrini, F

NHL.com fantasy rank: 4

Celebrini, who had NHL career highs in points (115 in 82 games; fourth in NHL), goals (45; tied for fourth), assists (70; seventh), power-play points (33; tied for 10th), even-strength points (82; tied for third) and shots on goal (287; tied for fourth) in his sophomore season, became the sixth different teenager in NHL history to post a 100-point season and the fourth teenager to finish among the top five in the League in scoring. Celebrini, who turned 20 years old on June 13, set the Sharks franchise record for most points in a single season and had the third-most points in a single season by a teenager in NHL history, behind Wayne Gretzky (137 points in 1979-80) and Sidney Crosby (120 points in 2006-07). Celebrini ranked second behind Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche (14) for the most three-point games (13) last season. The No. 1 overall pick from the 2024 NHL Draft is the No. 1 player in NHL.com's fantasy keeper and dynasty rankings and is inside the top five overall fantasy rankings for redraft leagues.

2. Will Smith, F

NHL.com fantasy rank: 60

Smith set NHL career highs in points (59 in 69 games), goals (24), assists (35), power-play goals (eight), power-play points (17), game-winning goals (five) and shots on goal (166) in his second season in the League. The 21-year-old, who averaged 18:11 of ice time last season (compared to 15:51 in his rookie season), had great chemistry with Celebrini, as they factored on the same goal 47 times (sixth most among teammate duos). Smith is one of eight Sharks (tied with the Montreal Canadiens for the most) in the top 100 of NHL.com's fantasy keeper and dynasty rankings, which are the best 25-and-younger options for long-term formats.

3. Mason Marchment, F

NHL.com fantasy rank: 141

Marchment, who signed a five-year, $33.75 million contract ($6.75 million average annual value) with the Sharks on July 1, scored at a 31-goal pace after being acquired by the Columbus Blue Jackets from the Seattle Kraken on Dec. 19. He was tied for second on the team in goals (15 in 39 games) and was third in points per game (0.82; 32 points) over that span with the Blue Jackets. Marchment, who frequently played on Columbus' top line with Adam Fantilli and Kirill Marchenko last season, has a chance to play on the Sharks' top line with Celebrini and Smith. The 31-year-old has scored at least 19 goals in each of his past three seasons and averaged 91 hits per season over his past six seasons. He's a fringe top-100 forward in NHL.com's fantasy rankings due to his category coverage and exposure to San Jose's top six.

4. Ivar Stenberg, F

NHL.com fantasy rank: 161

Stenberg played in the Swedish Hockey League last season and the 18-year-old forward led all SHL teenagers with 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists) in 43 games. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft had the fifth-best season ever by a player age 18 or younger in the SHL, behind only Daniel Sedin (42 points in 1998-99), Markus Naslund (39 points in 1991-92), Tomas Sandstrom (37 points in 1982-83) and Henrik Sedin (34 points in 1998-99). Stenberg helped Team Sweden win gold at the 2026 World Junior Championship, where he tied for the team lead with 10 points (four goals, six assists) in seven games, including a goal and two assists in the gold medal game. He also had eight points (four goals, four assists) in eight games at the 2026 World Championship. Stenberg is in the top five of NHL.com's fantasy rookie rankings and is a strong contender for the Calder Trophy.

5. Michael Misa, F

NHL.com fantasy rank: 177

Misa was limited to 45 games as a rookie last season, but had 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) and four power-play points, and finished with four points (two goals, two assists), two power-play points and 10 shots on goal in his final four games. The No. 2 pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, Misa was named the Ontario Hockey League's most outstanding player and finished as the top scorer in 2024-25 with 134 points (62 goals, 72 assists) and at least one point in 60 of his 65 regular-season games. Misa ended his rookie season on the top power play with Celebrini and Smith and could center the second line with Marchment, Collin Graf (career-high 21 goals last season) or Igor Chernyshov (19 points in 28 games last season). The 19-year-old has breakout potential and he's a strong buy-low candidate in keeper and dynasty leagues.
