Washe signs 4-year-contract with Ducks

Tim Washe signed a four-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal, which begins next season.

The 25-year-old forward, who could have become a restricted free agent after this season, had five points (two goals, three assists) in 39 games as a rookie with the Ducks last season. He also had one assist in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Washe began last season with San Diego of the American Hockey League, where he had 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 36 games and was named to the 2026 All-Star Classic prior to being recalled.

Signed by Anaheim as an undrafted free agent on April 14, 2025, Washe also played in two NHL games with the Ducks in 2024-25.

Anaheim has had a busy offseason. The Ducks signed restricted free agent forward Cutter Gauthier to a six-year contract on Tuesday, signed RFA forward Leo Carlsson to a five-year, $90 million contract ($18 million average annual value) on July 9 after the team matched an offer sheet that was tendered to the 21-year-old center by the Flyers on July 3, and signed defenseman Pavel Mintyukov to a five-year contract on July 5.

The Ducks open the regular season at the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct 2.
