Seattle mascots

A new mascot is coming to Seattle.

The Seattle Kraken teased the release of their new mascot in a fun new video posted to their Twitter account.
In the video, three young fans are assigned the task of finding a new mascot for the Kraken. Kraken forward Morgan Geekie calls in Seattle Mariners mascot Mariner Moose, Seattle Storm mascot Doppler and Seattle Sounders mascot Sammy to help the kids in their search.
The three mascots told the young fans the mascot should be kid-friendly, able to get the crowd excited, be able to skate and dance and have fun.

Later, the kids took pitches for the new mascot in a board room. Former Seattle Supersonics forward Detlef Schrempf pitched Supersonics mascot Squatch as the Kraken's next mascot, but the kids were not interested in the idea.
"But the Sonics will come back to Seattle one day," one of the young fans said.
The young fans insisted the Kraken mascot has to be new and something the fans will love.
Schrempf wasn't the only Seattle sports star that pitched their ideas to the kids.
Mariners pitcher Paul Sewald called giving the kids advice to find someone who has a "signature move."
Seahawks running back DeeJay Dallas suggested a Kraken as a new mascot, which the kids insisted was way too big.

Storm forward Breanna Stewart proposed the mascot be a Seattle landmark and that mayor Bruce Harrell can help in their search. Mayor Harrell ptiched the Space Needle, the Great Wheel and Pike Place Fish Market as great options.
One's thing for sure, Seattle's most famous residents are excited for the reveal.
The Kraken's new mascot will be revealed by the team on Saturday.
