NHL Network™ today announced that former NHL® All-Star and 17- year forward Scott Hartnell has joined its roster of on-air personalities as a studio analyst. Hartnell, who will appear across NHL Network's studio programming, will join Hall of Famer Scott Stevens and host Tony Luftman tomorrow, February 21 on NHL Tonight starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. Hartnell will also contribute to NHL Network's on-site coverage of the 2019 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ this Saturday, February 23 at Lincoln Financial Field® featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Philadelphia Flyers. Following his retirement from the NHL this past October, Hartnell has served as a guest analyst on NHL Network this season.

"I am very excited to have an opportunity to work with the NHL Network," said Hartnell. "I have loved playing the great game of hockey my whole life, and now to get the chance to analyze and talk hockey on TV will be a great challenge."
Drafted in the first round with the sixth overall pick by the Nashville Predators in 2000, Hartnell spent the first six seasons of his NHL career with Nashville (2000-2007) before joining the Philadelphia Flyers (2007-2014) and Columbus Blue Jackets (2014-2017). Hartnell returned to Nashville for the final season of his career in 2017. Known as a powerful forward, Hartnell registered 327 goals and 380 assists in 1,249 regular season games. A 2012 NHL All-Star, Hartnell skated in 99 Stanley Cup® Playoffs games where he amassed 47 points. Hartnell was a key contributor to the 2009 - 2010 Eastern Conference Champion Flyers, tallying eight goals and nine assists in 23 games. In 2012, Hartnell formed the #HartnellDown Foundation, which helps charities that support hockey, children and communities throughout the United States and Canada. Prior to his 17 years in the NHL, Hartnell played junior hockey for the Lloydminster Blazers of the AJHL and the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL.
