VS. MINNESOTA

Chicago and Minnesota meet for the third of four meetings this season tonight at the United Center. Minnesota has won the first two matchups with the last game being settled in overtime on Jan. 22.
Henrik Borgstrom notched two markers in the overtime defeat. It was his second career multi-goal game ... Alex DeBrincat also tallied a marker. Dylan Strome has a point in both games against the Wild during the 2021-22 campaign and has points (1G, 6A) in five of his last six games against Minnesota. Patrick Kane has two hat tricks over his last six games against the Wild. Overall, he has points in six of his last eight skates against Minnesota.

FINISH STRONG

With the final game before the All-Star break, Chicago will look to bounce back in a big way from home losses to Colorado on Friday and Vancouver on Monday. The loss to the Canucks was particularly disheartening with what was described by interim head coach Derek King and players as a "flat" performance.
"We still have one more chance against a good team before the break," Connor Murphy said that night.
"I think we've got to be way better come Wednesday if we're going to have a chance against them," Alex DeBrincat added. "All around as a group, we've got to find a way to be ready for the game and be excited to play."

BLOCK CITY

The Blackhawks recorded a season-high 30 blocked shots in Monday's game against the Canucks. Their previous season best came on Jan. 8 against Vegas when they blocked 24 attempts. The last time Chicago blocked 30 or more shots in a game was on March 14, 2017 at Montreal. Monday's total was only the third time since the 2005-06 season that the Blackhawks have logged 30 or more blocks in a contest.
Calvin de Haan and Jake McCabe paced Chicago with seven blocks each. McCabe's total matches a career high that he set earlier this season when he also registered seven blocks on Oct. 27 against Toronto. de Haan's total was a season high.

LEAD BLOCKERS

de Haan paced the Blackhawks in blocked shots for the ninth straight game on Monday. He has blocked four or more shots in those nine consecutive contests. His 55 blocks since Jan. 1 are the most in the league, four more than teammate Connor Murphy. He leads the league averaging 7.89 blocks per 60 minutes this season (min. 30 games). That total is the second highest single-season average for de Haan (7.99 blocks per 60 during the 2015-16 season with NYI).
The Blackhawks are the only team in the league with three players in the top-10 in blocked shots per 60 minutes as Calvin de Haan is first, Connor Murphy shares third and Jake McCabe is fifth (min. 30 games).
Murphy paced the club with six blocked shots on Jan. 8 against the Golden Knights. He had a season-high seven blocks on Jan. 1 at Nashville. The Dublin, Ohio native is third in the NHL with 114 blocked shots during the 2021-22 campaign. Murphy finished third in the league with 123 blocks last season and was 10th in that category during 2019-20.
Chicago is second in the league averaging 15.99 blocks per 60.
