NSH@EDM: Laviolette dons a bull head for interviews

Peter Laviolette is usually a no-bull kind of guy. Saturday he made an exception.

The Nashville Predators coach conducted a post-game interview wearing a bull's head mask at the request of his team.
Laviolette made a deal with his players that if they swept a back-to-back in Alberta, Friday against the Calgary Flames and Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers, he would submit to a team demand.
They picked the bull head.

Bull

Last season, you may remember, the players had the
coaching staff wear wild holiday suits
on the bench during a game.
"It was going to be a tough trip so we threw it out to the players and they got to choose the back end of the challenge so we're honoring the deal," Laviolette said, nonchalantly while wearing a black, furry bull's head that was complete with moving mouth.
Defenseman P.K. Subban, who scored a short-handed goal in the game, could barely make it through his post-game interview, laughing through it while anticipating his coach's arrival.
"Good on (Laviolette) to hold up his end of the bet," Subban said after his coach spoke to the media, again while wearing a giant bull head. "For us as a team, it's 82 games and it can be a long season and when you're coming on the road with a back-to-back ... with a little extra motivation and having some fun, but good on him."
Subban of course took to Instagram to share his angle.

The question remains, why a bull's head?
"There's a bull, a bushwhacker that was a famous bull and I think his record was like 42-0. For us it was about coming on the road," Subban said. "I can't get too much into the details of it because that stays in the locker room. But it was a bull that was just huge, big and solid and battled hard."
OK, but in addition to that the moving mouth part of the mask was pretty funny.
