Steve Mason could start in goal for the Philadelphia Flyers against the Washington Capitals on Sunday after Michal Neuvirth started Saturday and made 33 saves in a 6-3 loss to the Boston Bruins. The Flyers are 0-6-2 during an eight-game road losing streak and are 3-7-3 since winning 10 games in a row. In the loss to the Bruins, the Flyers allowed two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal and a goal on a rush. The Flyers have allowed eight shorthanded goals, the most in the NHL. "We got to shore it up," coach Dave Hakstol told CSN Philly after the game. "Three areas are obvious. Spending too much time killing penalties, turning pucks over in succession at a critical time in the game to pass on momentum, and then mistakes we are making this time of year, especially, on the rush coverage where it's been the last two or three games. Those are areas that get you in trouble."
