After being bit by the injury bug, Mathieu Perreault could be back and ready to play in just a few days.
Perreault, who had a goal and an assist Thursday in his preseason debut, took a blindside hit from Minnesota forward Kurtis Gabriel and had to be helped off the ice. He did not return to the game and was absent for practice Friday at MTS Iceplex, but is "progressing fine," according to Assistant Coach Jamie Kompon.
"He's coming in for treatment (on Saturday) and we'll know more then," Kompon said. "Right now he's day-to-day."

Also of note: Dustin Byfuglien, who left Friday's game with a lower-body injury, was held out for precautionary reasons and is not expected to miss any time.
Byfuglien blocked a shot from Oilers defenceman Oscar Klefbom before dropping the gloves with Matt Hendricks midway through the second period. The fight - the wrestling match, really - came in response to a hit Byfuglien delivered on Klefbom earlier in the period, resulting in an elbowing penalty.
