It was a win for the Winnipeg Jets, a personal coup for Patrik Laine and perhaps a big victory for a lucky fan as well to the tune of $1 million.
Patrik Laine's Earth-shattering five goal performance on Saturday helped his team to a big 8-4 win against the St. Louis Blues. It also made him the NHL's new leader in goals, supplanting Buffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner at the top for the moment. Laine also became the 57th player to score five times, the 11th since the start of the 1987-88 NHL season and was the third-youngest player in League history to score five.
