In a video shared by the team on social media, Cassidy is shown giving a pregame pep talk to a youth hockey team decked out in red jerseys with the Golden Knights logo.
"I want to say hello, wish you guys luck, make sure you have some fun out there," Cassidy, who became the
third coach in Golden Knights history
on Tuesday, says to the team. "But most of all, play hard, play well."
The coach asks the team if it is a semifinal game and a player responds that if they win, they will go to the championship.
"Well that's what we want, right? We want to win a championship," Cassidy says. "I'll be rooting for you."
The coach then calls for the team to put their hands in and shout the team name, Rockets, on three.
"Alright, let's get it done," Cassidy says at the end.
