CANADIENS (22-9-6) at PREDATORS (16-14-6)
8 p.m. ET; RDS, SNE, TSN, FS-TN, NHL.TV

Canadiens team scope

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber will play at Bridgestone Arena for the first time since being traded from the Nashville Predators to the Canadiens on June 29 for defenseman P.K. Subban. Weber spent 11 seasons with the Predators and was their captain for six seasons. "Obviously spent a lot of time [in Nashville] and it was my home for a while, but now I have a new home and I'm moving forward," Weber said. The Predators are planning a video tribute for Weber during the game and he said he wasn't sure how he would react. "Who knows, it's hard to say," he said. "I don't want to guess. We'll see what happens I guess." Forward Max Pacioretty will be a game-time decision, according to coach Michel Therrien, after taking a shot off of his leg from Weber at the morning skate. Forward Alexander Radulov also will play against the Predators for the first time. Radulov played for Nashville from 2006-2008 and during the 2011-12 season.

Predators team scope

The Predators placed Subban on injured reserve Sunday and his status will be re-evaluated in the next 2-3 weeks. "Just taking it every day," said Subban, who will miss a chance to play his former team Tuesday. "The good thing is that I'm seeing progress every day so just getting better, obviously frustrated. You want to get into a game. Obviously everyone knows how important this game is for both teams and I'd love to be out there, but I'm just going to have to rely on my teammates tonight to get the job done." The Predators have gone 1-2-1 in their past four games and are two points behind the Los Angeles Kings for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference.
