The Kings rallied from a 2-0 third-period deficit to win 3-2 in overtime against the Golden Knights at Staples Center on Monday.
Los Angeles is 4-2-0 in its past six games, is tied with the Calgary Flames for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference. The Kings are one point behind the Dallas Stars for the first wild card, and one point behind the Anaheim Ducks for third place in the Pacific Division.
The Golden Knights are on a three-game point streak (2-0-1) and are 5-1-1 in their past seven games. They are two points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning for the NHL lead and hold a two-point lead on the Nashville Predators for first place in the Western Conference.

Players to watch

Kings forward Dustin Brown scored in overtime Monday and has six points (three goals, three assists) in the past six games.
Golden Knights forward Tomas Tatar is expected to make his Vegas debut Tuesday. He was acquired in a trade with the Detroit Red Wings on Monday, and has 28 points (16 goals, 12 assists) in 62 games this season.
