Jaycob Megna was traded to the Seattle Kraken by the San Jose Sharks on Sunday for a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Seattle will notify San Jose by June 15 whether the fourth-round pick will be its own, or the one it acquired from the Colorado Avalanche for Kurtis MacDermid on July 27, 2021.
Megna, a 30-year-old defenseman, has 12 points (one goal, 11 assists) in an NHL career-high 48 games this season.

Selected by the Anaheim Ducks in the seventh round (No. 210) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Megna has 25 points (four goals, 21 assists) in 135 regular-season games for the Ducks and Sharks.
Seattle (29-15-5) is tied for first place in the Pacific Division with the Los Angeles Kings, who have played four more games. The Vegas Golden Knights are one point behind Seattle, and the Edmonton Oilers are three back.
San Jose (15-25-11) is in seventh place in the Pacific.
