NYI@CAR: Williams scores SO goal, leads Storm Surge

Justin Williams sealed his first game-winner back with a salute.

The Carolina Hurricanes forward led his team in a Storm Surge celebration after their 2-1 shootout win on Military Appreciation Night against the New York Islanders.
Sunday was Williams' first game for Carolina since he signed one-year contract Jan. 7, and the Hurricanes celebrated military members throughout the game. They gave veterans and active-duty military members a seat upgrade after fans sitting in the front row gave up their seat for the troops.
Then Williams gave everyone a show.
He scored the game-deciding goal in the shootout by beating Islanders goalie Thomas Greiss five-hole, then after the traditional Skol clap, celebrated by taking his helmet off and offering a simple salute.
