Artemi Panarin scored two goals in 47 seconds of the third period to complete a hat trick for the New York Rangers in their 6-3 win against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center.

Russ Courtnall (Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars, Vancouver Canucks) and Eddie Shack (Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Sabres) are the only players to have each of his first four NHL hat tricks come with four different teams.
Panarin, who agreed to a seven-year, $81.5 million contract ($11.6 million average annual value) with the Rangers on July 1, also had an assist and leads the Rangers and is eighth in the NHL with 41 points (18 goals, 23 assists). He's one four players in their first season with the Rangers to reach 40 points in 31 games or fewer, joining Marian Gaborik (29 games, 2009-10), Mark Messier (30 games, 1991-92) and Wayne Gretzky (31 games, 1996-97).
