McCrimmon SWS split

Kelly McCrimmon's homecoming with the Stanley Cup had some extra meaning for the family.

The Vegas Golden Knights general manager brought the trophy back home to Brandon, Manitoba and used that opportunity to pose in front of a banner for his late brother, Brad, who played 1,200 games in the NHL but passed away in a tragic plane accident in 2011.

McCrimmon held the Cup in front of a photo of his brother playing for the Brandon Wheat Kings, a team in the Western Hockey League. Both brothers were involved with the Wheat Kings throughout their respective hockey careers.

Brad played for the Wheat Kings from 1976-1979 before he was drafted by the Boston Bruins and eventually won a Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames.

Now Kelly has a Stanley Cup under his belt as well, which he can of course share with his older brother.
