Kuznetsov fined for high-sticking in Game 3 for Capitals against Panthers

Forward penalized $5,000 for actions in first period

NEW YORK -- Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov * has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high-sticking Florida Panthers forward Noel Acciari * during Game 3 of the teams' First Round series in Washington on Saturday, May 7, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 16:03 of the first period. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
