Andreas Athanasiou, C, Detroit Red Wings
DraftKings price: $2,700
Athanasiou is $200 above the DraftKings minimum price, even after a two-goal showing Monday at the Dallas Stars. The smooth-skating playmaker is on the Red Wings' third line with Dylan Larkin ($5,500) and Brad Richards ($3,700) and can round out your DFS roster and create additional DraftKings salary cap space to spend up at other positions. He comes with some risk because of inconsistent category coverage through 18 games (seven points, three blocks, 25 shots on goal), but has three or more SOG in two of his past three games and is still extremely underrated.

Andrew Ladd, W, Chicago Blackhawks
DraftKings price: $5,200
Ladd was red-hot upon joining the Blackhawks via trade, scoring four goals in his final three games with the Winnipeg Jets. He picked up right where he left off with an assist and one SOG in his Chicago return Sunday. He scored a goal against the Red Wings earlier in the season with three SOG and will continue to play alongside Jonathan Toews ($5,900) and Andrew Shaw ($4,300). Some DFS owners may avoid the matchup because the Red Wings allow the third-fewest DraftKings points to opposing wings, but it's worth noting that Detroit goaltender Petr Mrazek could be rusty as he returns from a groin injury.
Sami Vatanen, D, Anaheim Ducks
DraftKings price: $5,100
Vatanen has 10 points, 21 SOG and 12 blocks in his past 10 games (4.0 DraftKings points per game in span), with seven of those points coming on the power play. He has been more productive at Honda Center (3.3 DraftKings points per game) than on the road (2.7) this season, and had points in three straight entering Wednesday against the Montreal Canadiens. He's fourth among defensemen in cost but provides at least $900 of savings compared to the higher-priced options.
Philipp Grubauer, G, Washington Capitals
DraftKings price: $7,200
With Braden Holtby in goal Tuesday at home against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Capitals are expected to roll out Grubauer at Verizon Center for the second of a back-to-back set in a winnable spot against the Maple Leafs. Toronto, whose roster has been ravaged by recent trades and injuries, allows the most DraftKings points to opposing goalies, and Grubauer has a .930 save percentage at home. He won his last start, allowing one goal on 40 shots against the Los Angeles Kings on Feb. 16, and stopped 15 of the 16 shots he faced in his most recent outing in relief of Holtby on Feb. 24. He's fifth in price out of six projected goalie starters on a light Wednesday schedule.
