Left wing Taylor Hall scored his first goal with the New Jersey Devils in a 5-4 win against the New York Rangers in a preseason game at Prudential Center on Saturday.

Hall beat goalie Magnus Hellberg with a snap shot at 12:39 of the second period on the power play to give the Devils a 3-2 lead. He also had an assist with five shots on goal in 16:59 of ice time.
Forwards Beau Bennett, Pavel Zacha and Kyle Palmieri each had two points and defenseman Yohann Auvitu had three assists for New Jersey.
Devils goalie Anders Lindback made 30 saves in place of Cory Schneider, who did not play as a precaution because of soreness.
Rangers center Mika Zibanejad made it 5-4 with a power-play goal at 16:28 of the third period. Jesper Fast, Michael Grabner and John Gilmore also scored for New York, which was 1-for-6 on the man-advantage.
