Each day this season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will provide daily picks for DraftKings NHL contests. This lineup has been constructed with expensive and value picks and should be used as a basis for your roster decision-making.

C - Nazem Kadri, TOR ($6,000)
Kadri is ninth among centers in price yet third at the position in DraftKings points per game (3.7). Take advantage of that discrepancy when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the Detroit Red Wings, who are allowing the third-most DraftKings points to opposing centers. Kadri brings the safety net of a high shot volume (141, 24th in NHL) and first power-play usage (14 power-play points), helping him total 12 points and 31 SOG in his past 10 games.
C - Bo Horvat, VAN ($5,100)
Horvat has a favorable draw at the Colorado Avalanche, whom he has two points, two blocks and four SOG in two games (4.0 DraftKings points per game). If Matt Duchene (illness) misses another game for Colorado, Horvat has a chance to exploit the Avalanche's lack of forward depth and produce multiple points. He
leads the Vancouver Canucks
in even-strength points with 24.

W - Mats Zuccarello, NYR ($6,600)
Zuccarello is riding a six-game point streak for the New York Rangers, who face the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden. The right wing has 21 points in 24 home games this season, and is in a great spot playing with Derek Stepan at even strength and on the Rangers' first power-play unit. Zuccarello has 11 points and a whopping 39 SOG in his past 10 games (4.6 DraftKings points per game).
W - Corey Perry, ANA ($6,300)
Perry has had an inconsistent season, but has put together three straight games with four SOG and two straight with a point. With Ryan Getzlaf back from injury, Perry is playing with the veteran center and Rickard Rakell on the Anaheim Ducks' first line. Perry has three assists, two blocks and seven SOG in two games against the Edmonton Oilers, and has been strong at Honda Center with 18 points in 24 games.

W - Pavel Buchnevich, NYR ($4,900)
Buchnevich has not scored a point in his past two games, but has a chance to bounce back against the Flyers at home, where he has nine points in nine games. He has six points in six games since returning from a back injury, and has strong linemates in Rick Nash and Mika Zibanejad at even strength and on the Rangers' second power-play unit. Flyers goalie Steve Mason, if he starts, is 2-7-3 with a .887 save percentage since their 10-game win streak ended Dec. 17.
D - Mike Green, DET ($5,000)
Green is worth your investment against the Maple Leafs, who are allowing the second-most DraftKings points to opposing defensemen. In his past nine games, Green has six points, 16 blocks and 20 SOG for an average of 3.2 DraftKings points per game. He is an affordable defenseman who plays on the first power-play unit for the Red Wings and can contribute in all three DFS categories on any given night.

D - Nikita Zadorov, COL ($3,200)
The Avalanche could be without defenseman Tyson Barrie (lower body) again Wednesday against the Canucks, and Zadorov would be in line for a heavy workload if that's the case. He played 21:21 with 1:25 on the power play against the San Jose Sharks on Monday, and had two assists and two SOG for 5.0 DraftKings points. He has at least 1.0 DraftKings point in nine of his past 10 games, which makes him an intriguing value pick for $700 above the DraftKings minimum price.
G - Henrik Lundqvist, NYR ($8,200)
Lundqvist has shaken off his recent struggles and is worth spending up for against the Flyers at home. He has owned Philadelphia in his career, going 33-13-4 with a .920 SV% and four shutouts. He's 2-0-0 with a .946 SV% against the Flyers this season. Since allowing seven goals to the Dallas Stars at home on Jan. 17, Lundqvist is averaging 7.7 DraftKings points per game during his current three-game winning streak.

UTIL - Gabriel Landeskog, COL ($4,500)
Landeskog is playing away from Nathan MacKinnon at even strength lately, but still sees power-play time with MacKinnon and has produced a heavy shot volume (35 SOG) over his past 10 games. He has seven straight games with at least 2.0 DraftKings points and has 3.0 or more six times in the span. He has scored 11 of his 16 points at home and had 3.5 DraftKings points against the Canucks on Jan. 2.
