Forsberg will start after Crawford was placed on injured reserve Friday. He is 1-2-2 with a 3.67 goals-against average and .904 save percentage in seven games this season. Crawford played in Dallas' 4-3 overtime win at United Center on Thursday. He is 11-7-2 with a 2.29 GAA and .930 save percentage. Ben Bishop will make his sixth straight start for the Stars, who've won three in a row. He's allowed seven goals in the three victories.

Blackhawks rookie forward Alex DeBrincat has four goals and two assists during a three-game point streak. Stars forward Radek Faksa has four goals in his past two games and scored on a penalty shot Thursday.

Quenneville said Crawford would miss at least three games and then be re-evaluated. Berube was recalled from Rockford of the American Hockey League on Friday. … Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said Roussel has the flu and likely won't fly with the team for a game against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday. Hanzal is week-to-week with a hamstring injury sustained in a 3-0 win against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. Methot had knee surgery on Nov. 20 and is expected to start skating by himself next week.
