Wennberg, Atkinson lead Blue Jackets to 4-1 win

Cam Atkinson and Alex Wennberg each had a goal and an assist for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 4-1 win against the Chicago Blackhawks at Nationwide Arena.

Atkinson scored 36 seconds into the third period to extend the Blue Jackets lead to 3-1. Liam Foudy, who was the No. 18 pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, made it 4-1 at 18:07. Wennberg and Zac Dalpe each scored for Columbus in the first period.
J-F Berube played the first two periods for Columbus and made 14 saves. Joseph Raaymakers made seven saves in the third period.
Alexandre Fortin scored 53 seconds into the first period to give the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead.
Cam Ward, who signed a one-year contract with Chicago as a free agent July 1, made 13 saves on 15 shots in 30:10 in his Blackhawks debut. He was replaced by Collin Delia, who made 14 saves.
