CAR@NSH, Gm6: CeCe Winans performs the anthem

Hoping to keep their season alive, the Nashville Predators called on one of the greatest gospel singers on Earth.

Cece Winans performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" before Game 6 of the Stanley Cup First Round between Nashville and the Carolina Hurricanes at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday.
Winans, the 13-time Grammy Award winner who has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, became
the latest musical icon
to perform before a Predators Stanley Cup Playoff game this spring. Clad in a No. 21 Predators jersey, she delivered a stirring and powerful rendition of the anthem for the 14,000-plus fans in Nashville, the largest crowd of the playoffs to date.
Winans wasn't the only Nashville celebrity hyping up the fans. Vanderbilt University men's and women's basketball coaches Jerry Stackhouse and Shea Ralph were the honorary towel wavers before the win-or-go-home game, and Creed frontman Scott Stapp was the performer during the first intermission.
