Nino Niederreiter will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Saturday.

The Carolina Hurricanes forward is facing discipline for slashing Washington Capitals forward Axel Jonsson-Fjallby.
The incident occurred at 13:50 of the first period during the Hurricanes' 4-3 shootout loss at Capital One Center on Friday. Niederreiter was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: slashing. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
