Hamonic sustained an undisclosed injury in the second period when the Flames ended a three-game losing streak with a 6-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, the first of a four-game road trip. He was placed on injued reserve on Monday,. The Flames will also be without defenseman Mark Giordano, who will miss his third straight game with a lower-body injury. The Sharks, 9-2 in their past 11 games against Calgary, look to win three in a row for the first time since Nov. 21-25. San Jose is 2-0-0 against Calgary this season, winning 3-1 on the road Feb. 4 and 3-1 at home Oct. 13.
