BOS PHI 12117

BRUINS (11-8-4) at FLYERS (8-10-7)
1 p.m. ET; SN, NBCSP, NESN, NHL.TV

The Flyers are 0-4-5 in their past nine games and haven't won since defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Nov. 9. A loss would match the longest losing streak in Flyers history, done twice before (Dec. 2-27, 2006, 0-9-1; Feb. 6-23, 2008, 0-8-2).
Tuukka Rask will start his third straight game for the Bruins, who have won five of their past six, including three in a row on the road.

Players to watch

Bruins forward Brad Marchand had two assists in a 3-2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday after missing six games with an undisclosed injury. He has 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in 15 games.
Flyers left wing Claude Giroux has seven points (two goals, five assists) during a five-game point streak.

They said it

"I know that their top line (Giroux, Sean Couturier, Jakub Voracek) is doing a lot of their scoring. I know that they have a young defense that is playing well, but as we've seen with young players is probably susceptible to consistency. It's always an area where you want to force them to make decisions and execute. That will be our game plan and to try and keep that top line off the scoresheet, which is a tall order." -- Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy
"You definitely have to fine-tune those details, especially when we are in a little funk right now. It's going to be another big challenge against Boston; they are playing well as of late. They are a big-bodied team that puts a lot of pucks to the net. We have to weather their storm and bring a storm of our own." -- Flyers goalie Brian Elliott
