ANA-EDM-1-4-18

DUCKS (19-14-8) at OILERS (17-20-3)
9 p.m. ET; SNOL, PRIME, NHL.TV

This will be the first meeting between the Ducks and Oilers since Anaheim prevailed in seven games in the Western Conference Second Round last season.
Anaheim has won five of its past six games (5-1-0) and can move into third place in the Pacific Division with a win and a San Jose Sharks loss at the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Edmonton is trying to avoid a fifth straight loss, which would be its longest this season. The Oilers, 0-3-1 in their past four games, have been shut out in their past two home games against the Winnipeg Jets (5-0 on Sunday) and Los Angeles Kings (5-0 on Tuesday).

Players to watch

Oilers center Connor McDavid does not have a point in three games for the first time in his NHL career. He had 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in his previous 14 games.
Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf has seven points (one goal, six assists) in a three-game multi-point streak.

They said it

"I think first and foremost, our goalies have been unbelievable … and when you do get guys back, they accept the roles they are given them and they still are contributing in different ways." -- Ducks forward Ryan Kesler on Anaheim's 230 man games lost to injury this season
"When you go two games without scoring, you're going to question your whole lineup, not just your special teams. … I think it comes down to execution. We've created chances, we've got our shots on net, it's more just the finishing part." -- Oilers forward Ryan Strome on being shut out the past two games
