Alex Ovechkin delivers pizza to shocked Capitals fans

Superstar picked up second job for a day to benefit charity @NHLdotcom

Did someone order one of the NHL's premier goal scorers? Or a pizza?

Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin delivered something other than goals, assists and wins as he teamed up with Papa John's to be a rookie delivery driver.

It was part of Papa John's "Ovechkin Wish Special" that the chain ran. Customers who ordered the special on Friday were entered in a sweepstakes to have the All-Star personally deliver their pizza while $1 from each order went to the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Ovechkin made some pizzas himself, then surprised three households with pies. The reactions ranged from predictable to, well, unpredictable.

The first house couldn't have been more excited to see Ovechkin at the door. But one who ordered the Ovechkin Wish Special told the star "I don't do sports."

"It's a good thing!" Ovechkin joked to the camera.

Tweet from @tatyanabailey99: @TarikCSN well i sure know who he is now!

The moment seems to have garnered the attention of the woman, who goes by @tatyanabailey99 on Twitter. She later posted "well i sure know who he is now!" of the three-time Hart Trophy winner. She also changed her bio to read "babysitter who doesn't do sports."

Ending the route on a high note, the third house featured a big reaction and even a young fan clad in a Capitals jersey.

Despite the success, it would be hard to imagine Ovechkin leaving his day job anytime soon.
