The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today the club’s 26-man roster that will participate in the 2026 NHL Prospect Challenge at the Centre Slush Puppie in Gatineau, Quebec. The roster includes a total of 15 forwards, eight defencemen and three goaltenders. Toronto will face the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, September 12 at 6:00 p.m. before taking on the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m.
This year’s roster will include five draft picks from the 2026 NHL Draft (Alexander Bilecki, Gavin McKenna, Brody Pepoy, Patriks Plumins, Cooper Williams), four draft picks from the 2025 NHL Draft (Rylan Fellinger, Tyler Hopkins, Tinus Luc Klobar, Harry Nansi), three draft picks from 2024 NHL Draft (Ben Danford, Miroslav Holinka, Timofei Obvintsev), one draft pick from the 2023 NHL Draft (Noah Chadwick).
In addition to the Maple Leafs’ draft picks in attendance, the roster will include seven players signed to an NHL contract (Vinny Borgesi, Brandon Buhr, Luke Haymes, Hayes Hundley, Landon Sim, Blake Smith, Borya Valis) and two players signed to AHL contracts (Sawyer Boulton, Ryan Kirwan) along with four free agents (Sebastian Charvat, Matyas Man, Parker Vaughan, Nic Whitehead).
Toronto Marlies head coach Steve Sullivan will oversee the team along with the Marlies coaching staff (Mark Giordano, Denver Manderson, Greg Moore, Hannu Toivonen and Nick Biamonte).
The Maple Leafs Prospects will practice at Ford Performance Centre on Friday, September 11 before departing for the tournament.
