  • Nick Blankenburg opened the scoring against his former team at 3:03 of the first period in his Maple Leafs debut. Blankenburg had the fourth-fastest goal from the start of his team debut in franchise history behind Gus Bodnar (0:15 on Oct. 30, 1943), Doug Gilmour (1:55 on Jan. 3, 1992) and Daniel Marois (2:26 on Oct. 6, 1988). 
  • William Nylander scored the first-of-two power play goals on the night at the 6:53 mark of the second period. 
  • Gavin McKenna (1-3—4) became the first Maple Leafs player age 18 or younger to record a point in three straight contests since Russ Courtnall (3-7—10 in 7 GP from March 3-14, 1984). 
  • Willian Nylander levelled the game for a second time at 3-3 with 3:13 to play in the second period. That goal was the 700th career NHL point and the 297th goal of Nylander’s career moving him into sole possession of the seventh most goals on the franchise’s goal register passing George Armstrong and Frank Mahovlich (296).  
  • William Nylander (756 GP) became the seventh-fastest Swedish player in NHL history to reach the 700-point milestone behind Peter Forsberg (549 GP), Mats Sundin (678 GP), Nicklas Backstrom (708 GP), Tomas Sandstrom (719 GP), Daniel Alfredsson (738 GP) and Henrik Zetterberg (739 GP).
  • Easton Cowan gave the Maple Leafs a late second period lead with his third goal of the season. William Nylander recorded his fourth point of the night. 
  • Auston Matthews scored the second Maple Leafs power play goal at 11:02 of the third period. 
  • William Nylander (2-3—5) tied a single-game career high with five points (also 2-3—5 on Dec. 10, 2022). 
  • Auston Matthews recorded his 84th career multi-goal game scoring into an empty net at 19:21 of the third period to move within one of tying Joe Mullen (85) for the third most in NHL history among U.S.-born players. 
  • Auston Matthews (2-2—4) recorded his second four-point game of the season – he is the only player with multiple outings in 2026-27.
  • Sergei Bobrovsky earned his first victory as a Maple Leaf making 30 saves. It was the 457th win of his career (7th most in NHL history).
