The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed defenceman Justin Holl to a two-year contract. The annual average value of the contract is $675,000.

Holl, 26, split the 2017-18 season between the Maple Leafs and the Toronto Marlies (AHL). He made his NHL debut on January 31 and appeared in two games with the Maple Leafs, recording a goal in each contest to become the first Maple Leaf and sixth NHL defenceman in history to record a goal in his first two NHL games. In 60 games with the Marlies, Holl recorded 28 points (7 goals, 21 assists) and represented the North Division in the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic. He added three goals and two assists in 20 playoff games, capturing the 2018 Calder Cup. In 194 career AHL regular season games, 192 of which have come with Toronto, he has recorded 68 points (20 goals, 48 assists), adding 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists) in 46 career Calder Cup playoff games.
Holl was originally signed by the Maple Leafs as a free agent on July 2, 2016.
