- Jack Roslovic recorded his 300th career NHL points (goal) as he opened the scoring 34 seconds into the game. It was the fastest goal to start a game and period this season.
- Jack Roslovic’s opening goal marker was the second-fastest goal to start a road opener for the Maple Leafs. Only Stew Gavin (0:27) did so faster on Oct. 5, 1983 at Edmonton.
- Easton Cowan doubled Toronto’s lead scoring his second goal of the season. Cowan was sprung on a breakaway by Chris Tanev.
