The Lightning and the Senators are playing their second of four meetings this season and the second of two at Canadian Tire Centre... Tampa Bay and Ottawa will play twice in a six-day span, the Senators coming to Tampa for a matchup Dec. 16 at AMALIE Arena...The Lightning won a 5-3 decision over the Senators in the teams' first meeting Nov. 6 at Canadian Tire Centre, a game in which the Bolts broke a 2-all tie entering the third period with three- consecutive goals, Ondrej Palat netting the game-winner at 18:19 of the third, part of a three-point night for the Bolts forward (1-2--3 pts.)...In that win, Brian Elliott made his second start and collected his first win as a member of the Lightning after making 24-of-27 stops, Elliott improving to 7-0-2 all-time against the franchise that drafted him in the ninth round in 2003 (291 overall) and the team with which he made his NHL debut in 2007...Tampa Bay has picked up wins in five of its last six trips to Ottawa, including the last two by a 5-3 count...Since the start of the 2012-13 season, the Lightning are 21-8-3 versus the Senators.
