The Lightning extended their point streak to 13 games with a 6-5 overtime win over the Flyers on Thursday night at Amalie Arena.
Alex Killorn scored the game winner 18 seconds into overtime, cashing in after Anthony Cirelli forced a turnover from Philadelphia in their defensive zone.
Through two periods, however, overtime didn't seem like a possibility.

The Bolts built a 5-2 lead with Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos leading the way.
Kucherov and Brayden Point both scored first period goals to give Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead through 20 minutes.

After Claude Giroux tied the game early in the second, Stamkos scored twice in a 2:31 span with Kucherov picking up the primary assist on both goals. Tyler Johnson then gave the Bolts a three-goal cushion on a goal with eight seconds to play in the period.
For the rest of regulation, the Flyers dictated play.
It took Philadelphia less than nine minutes to erase the three-goal deficit in the third period. Dale Weise, Robert Hagg and Ivan Provorov all scored in the first half of the third period to tie the score at five. It took some big saves from Andrei Vasilevskiy down the stretch to even force overtime.
This is the second straight meeting between the Bolts and Flyers in which Tampa Bay couldn't hold onto a big third period lead. In the November 17 meeting, Tampa Bay led 5-1 in the third period but let the Flyers storm back to tie the game. It took an overtime winner from Cirelli to help the Lightning salvage both points on that afternoon.
Although he didn't score in overtime on Thursday, Cirelli played a big role in the eventual game-winner. After forcing a Philadelphia turnover as they broke out of their defensive zone, Cirelli left a drop pass for Killorn who quickly fired the shot past Michal Neuverth to win it for the Bolts.

Kucherov continued his torrid scoring pace in the win. He followed up a five-point performance on Saturday vs. Edmonton with another four points, extending his point streak to nine games. Stamkos extended a point streak of his own to four games with two goals and two assists on the night.
The Lightning wrap up the quick two-game homestand on Saturday night with a matchup vs. the Canadiens.
