The Kraken are excited to partake in festivities throughout the month as part of the team's 2022-23 Hockey is For Everyone calendar advocating for greater diversity and inclusion in the game. Check out some highlights below.

Speaking of Climate Pledge Arena, while experiencing amazing events at the arena you can also check out works commissioned by AANHPI artists both inside and outside the facility. This includes the SeaWave sculpture located adjacent to 2nd Avenue N running through Seattle Center. Created by renowned second-generation Seattle artist Gerard Tsutakawa, the sculpture alludes to the water surrounding Seattle including the Sound, lakes, and rivers.

Also outside Climate Pledge is Norie Sato's Chikara no Hikari, situated near the Southwest corner of the arena across the street from 1st Avenue N. This stunning mosaic draws inspiration from star explosions and particle collisions and channels the energy of sports. A longtime Seattle community member, Sato was born in Sendai, Japan and immigrated to the United States when she was four years old. She received her MFA degree in Printmaking and Video from the University of Washington in 1974.
