Women in Sports Business Panel at All-Star Weekend

To kick off the NHL All-Star Weekend, the NHL and the LA Kings brought together some of the top women currently working in the sports industry for the "Women in Sports Business Panel" at Regal Cinemas at L.A. LIVE on Friday.
This panel included Alyssa Milano (Entrepreneur, Actress, Philanthropist, and founder of Touch by Alyssa Milano), Heidi Browning (EVP and CMO of the NHL), Angela Ruggiero (CSO LA2024, Hockey Hall-of-Famer and 4-Time Olympian), Helene Elliot (Hockey Hall of Fame Columnist, LA Times), Susan Samueli (Owner, Anaheim Ducks), and host Kathryn Tappen (NBC Sports).

Over 400 people attended to listen the panelists speak about their personal stories of success and the challenges they had to overcome while building their careers in the sports industry.
"The women in sports business panel was inspiring and thought provoking," said Dominique Di Dia, Marketing Manager for the LA Kings.
"The panelists were all incredibly interesting to hear from being from such different backgrounds and holding various careers all over the sports world. Their anecdotes proved that as far as women have come in the business of sports and hockey, there is still a need to promote and educate that women can succeed in any role or career that they aspire to," added Di Dia.

This event gave these panelists the opportunity to inspire other women, and men, to continue to strive for their goals and push through the obstacles individuals may face along the way.
