On Wednesday, November 16th, the LA Kings the Salvation Army joined forces to host a food drive at the LA Kings training facility in El Segundo, CA. Canned food supplies and other non-perishables were collected as well as monetary donations.
Cars drove through as volunteers unloaded their trunks of the food they were donating. LA Kings Alumni and current Radio Analyst Daryl Evans was there to help with the food collection. TV Play-by-Play announcer Alex Faust also stopped by to drop off some food donations and assist with collections.

This drive-through food collection served as the Kettle Kick Off for The Salvation Army in Southern California.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Salvation Army had to suspend in-person Red Kettle collections, the single largest annual fundraiser for them, to a virtual format. Funds collected through this initiative provide vital assistance to the homeless, children and families facing food insecurity.
