Kings Notes:
Kevin Fiala recorded two assists for his first playoff points as an LA King in his postseason debut with the team in Game 4 on Sunday. Fiala enters tonight with 17 points (9-8=17) in 36 career playoff games. With an assist tonight, Fiala can tie Todd Elik (1-3=4, April 7-8, 1982) for the most assists through a player's first two playoff games as a member of the Kings.
Of the 90 playoff games on Anze Kopitar's resume, 47 of them have been on the road. With Game 5 in Edmonton tonight, Kopitar will skate in his 48th career road playoff game which will tie him with Dustin Brown for second-most in Kings history and place him one shy of tying Dave Taylor (49) and Luc Robitaille (49) for most all-time. Kopitar has accumulated 41 points (12-29=41) in 47 career road playoff games. Should he record a point tonight, he will surpass Luc Robitaille (19-22=41) for sole possession of the most road playoff points in team history.
Matt Roy scored his first career playoff goal on Sunday night in Game 4. Roy became just the seventh Michigan Tech (NCAA) alumnus to score a goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, joining Randy McKay (20), Mike Zuke (6), Jarkko Ruutu (5), Bob Lorimer (3), Chris Conner (1) and Bob Murray (1).
Only Winnipeg's Kyle Connor (24) has registered more shots this postseason than Adrian Kempe (20).
Oilers Notes:
After a 3-0 Kings lead 20 minutes in Game 4, former King Jack Campbell replaced Stuart Skinner in the Oilers net and made 27 saves on 28 shots in relief.
Both the Oilers (21-15) and Kings (18-16) have winning records in Game 5's of a best-of-seven series.
Mattias Janmark (foot) remains day-to-day.
The Oilers power play ranked 1st in the NHL (32.4%), setting the all-time NHL record for power play percentage in a season. Despite the record, the Oilers went 2-for-13 (15.4%) on the PP against the Kings in the regular season. Through four games, the Oilers are 6-for-11.
Who to Watch:
Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo, who has started in every game of the series for the Kings and has turned aside at least 33 shots in all four games so far. No other goaltender has more 33+ save performances this postseason than Korpisalo (4). Through the first four games of this series, Korpisalo has made a league-leading 145 saves on 158 shots for the most saves by a Kings goaltender through their first four games of a playoff year.
Leon Draisaitl, who ranks second in the NHL in scoring this postseason with nine points (5-4=9). Draisaitl has now notched 68 points (23-45=68) in 41 career playoff games.
