WINNIPEG, March 17, 2022 - The Winnipeg Jets join the NHL in its continued mission of making hockey a sport for everyone by hosting their annual Pride Night game on March 22 against the Vegas Golden Knights. As part of the larger
Hockey is for Everyone
initiative and alongside the
You Can Play
project, the Jets' Pride Night aims to show that all are welcome in hockey and any teammate, coach, or fan who brings passion to the rink should be supported and respected, regardless of their gender identity or expression or sexual orientation.
To show their support for the initiative, Jets players will be wearing special Pride Night jerseys during the pre-game warm-up and taping their sticks with special Pride tape. The Pride jerseys and sticks will be auctioned off in June at
auctions.nhl.com
as part of Pride Month, with all proceeds supporting the You Can Play Fund and the
Rainbow Resource Centre
. More details on the auction will be released on the Jets' social channels closer to the auction dates.

Canadian bilingual singer-songwriter SoulBear will open the game by singing the national anthems. SoulBear is a strong advocate for the 2SLGBTQ+ community whose music and lyrics reflect his personal story as a gay man and promote messages of diversity and social equity. Fans at the Pride Night game will also be able to learn more about the services and resources of the Rainbow Resource Centre - a Winnipeg organization nurturing inclusive spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ communities to thrive - at the game through booths on the 100 and 300 level concourses.
