WINNIPEG - Much like the weather in Winnipeg, the Jets' injury situation continues to improve by the day.
On Saturday morning at Bell MTS Iceplex, Mark Scheifele and Adam Lowry took part of a full contact practice and came out of it feeling positive about their chances to play against the Dallas Stars on Sunday.
Scheifele has missed five games with an upper-body ailment after colliding with teammate Blake Wheeler in a road game against the New York Rangers back on Mar. 6.
"It's definitely a possibility," said Scheifele when asked if he could play Sunday. "I feel good. It's good to finally get a practice in with the guys, so it's a good step forward, for sure."

The Jets' top centre even received an unscheduled test from a teammate when Tyler Myers took a good run at him towards the end of practice.
"Guys were hitting me when I wasn't expecting it," smiled Scheifele. "Mysie was doing a great job making sure I'm feeling good. Big thanks to all the boys."
Meanwhile, the wait has been much longer to get back into game action for fellow pivot Adam Lowry. Lowry has not played since Feb. 1, missing 19 games and 28 of the last 30 overall, and is chomping at the bit to get back into game action.
"The last couple of weeks I've been able to ramp it up a bit," Lowry said. "It's felt a lot better, especially the last week, so I'm looking forward to getting back in whether that's tomorrow or against LA (on Tuesday)."

With 11 games left in the regular season, the Jets are sitting comfortably in the Central Division playoff race. They have a seven-point advantage on the Minnesota Wild for second place and are closing in on 100 points, which should be more than enough to make the postseason. With that in mind, and with both Lowry and Scheifele feeling confident about their health, Head Coach Paul Maurice says he has no hesitation to put them in if everything looks good in the AM.
"We're not in that must win situation," Maurice said. "We've got to get these guys on the ice and get them ready. They wouldn't be going into the lineup [if they were still] injured."
Defenceman Toby Enstrom is also a possibility to return for the Jets on Sunday. Maurice admitted on Thursday his absence from the lineup was more due to his own fears than Enstrom's health. Much like Scheifele and Lowry, Enstrom's availability depends entirely on how he feels in the morning after Saturday's full-speed, hourlong workout.

"Toby is a tougher one to read as a coach because his pain tolerance is incredibly high," explained Maurice. "This is a pain tolerance issue; it's not an injury that necessarily gets worse, it just hurts an awful lot. But we've given it a good chunk of time off and if he feels he can play with it, then he's going to go."
Should all three play Sunday, Maurice has some lineup juggling to do. With the team playing so well right now, those decisions are become tougher.
"There will be players who will come out who played great in their last game or have played really well. That's the healthy competition you want to get to

With the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs less than a month away, Maurice was asked if there is any chance he will rest players at any point in the final 11 games:
"I think if we have this conversation and we have secured where we want to be, that it would be in the back-to-back scenario. That would be where we would look to keep people out. After that you are going to find that none of these guys want to come out of the lineup. The answer is yes, we will look at it, (but) I wont be taking a guy out for five or six days."
