Instagram Q&A: Kyle Connor

Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor joined us on the Winnipeg Jets Instagram account (@nhljets) where fans asked him an assortment of questions. Connor spoke on why he wears the number 81, his desire to travel to Scotland, and much more.

What is your favourite pre-game meal?

It's the same pretty much every time. I'll usually start it with a salad, then grab some pasta, sweet potato mash, throw in some broccoli and some beets.

Why do you wear the number 81?

I wore 18 in college and pretty much my whole life. I flipped that over to 81. Bryan Little had 18 then as well. I was just a young rookie then and I don't think he would've given me 18.

Who was your favourite player growing up?

My favourite player growing up was Pavel Datsyuk. He was pretty incredible with the puck, he never ceases to amaze what kind of stuff he does, whether it be shootout or breakaway. He's a pretty complete player too. I just love the way he played the game.

If you could visit any country, where would you go?

I've always wanted to visit Scotland. Go over there and play some golf, play the old course and just all those other courses over there would be pretty awesome.

What is your favourite ice cream flavor?

Chocolate.

What is your favourite goal you've scored?

Probably my first career goal against Dallas. I was on a 2-on-1 with Nik Ehlers and he threw over some nice sauce and I got the puck. I just tried to get it off quick. It was definitely one I'll remember forever.

Pineapple on pizza?

I don't mind pineapple on pizza. Throw on some ham there too; it's pretty good!

If you could interview anyone in the world who would it be?

I would love to interview Tiger Woods. He's probably the most dominate athlete in his sport and the history of sports. Just to try to get in that mindset of how that guy thinks and has approached every day into to life. Not to mention the story that guy has would be pretty funny to hear.
