Winnipeg, MB -- The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, announced that Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is among the three finalists for the 2017-18 Vezina Trophy, which is awarded to the NHL's top goaltender.

Hellebuyck, 24, shared the NHL lead in wins with 44 and was third in the league in shutouts (6). He matched the NHL's single-season record for home wins with 30. The Commerce, Michigan native set single-season club records for wins (44), save percentage (.924), and minutes played (3,966). Hellebuyck also set a franchise record for individual win streak with a nine-game run to end the regular season.
Hellebuyck's accolades this season included playing in his first NHL All-Star Game in Tampa Bay and winning the DEKALB Three Stars Award as the Jets player to receive the most 'Three Stars' honours. He was selected as the NHL's First Star of the week for Dec. 25-31/17 after putting up three wins, including a shutout. Hellebuyck also earned a weekly Second Star nod for Jan. 15-21 after winning back-to-back starts, earning a shutout in one.
Winnipeg selected Hellebuyck in the fifth round (130th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft.
The 2017-18 winner of the Vezina Trophy will be announced on Wednesday, June 20 during the 2018 NHL Awards Show from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
