Dougie Hamilton extended his goal streak to three games and added an assist as the Carolina Hurricanes set a franchise record with a fifth straight win to start their season, defeating the Isles 5-2 before a crowd of 14,875 at PNC Arena.
The Isles have lost three of four games (1-3-0) to open the season. It's the first time since the end of the 2017-18 season (35-37-10) that the Isles are two games under NHL-.500
